Words
Words pierce like the blade of a knife swift blows to the heart slowly disembodied, destroying unaware of our ultimatums and expectations We build walls with our words seeking to conquer and unknowingly divide but words were gifted with a greater purpose built on the foundations of love a torn Berlin of understanding Words to rebuild, strengthen, empower Words to live, breathe, and feel ...

Jeff: hey
what do people usually order when they say "extra shot of" ....
like whats the extra shot of?
Me: Espresso?
You mean for coffee or lattes?
Jeff: latte
extra shot of what??
Me: One espresso shot is the equivalent amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee.
An extra shot of "espresso".
Jeff: k
thanks
Me: A tall drink at Starbucks has one shot.
A grande has two.
A venti has two.
When you ask for an extra shot, you ask for another shot of espresso added on.
Jeff: do some people get grande with an extra shot?
Me: Yes, that's called a "triple grande".
A grande with triple shots. Because it normally comes with only two.
That means, you just want more caffeine.
Jeff: k
thanks

Ann Taylor Loft.   I used to admire these looks in high school.  Now, I’m semi-grown up and actually have to dress accordingly at work and down the road in grad school.

Change Our Food System →
Yet another system in our society that really needs policy change and protection from the bottom-up rather than from the top-down.   After watching Food, Inc., I’m seriously considering doing a dual-major.  Yep, pretty close to doing it.  I might as well.  I enjoy my minor.  I wouldn’t mind it being another major.

I wish my Rodeo was in better condition.  I want to take so many random trips with people and on my own, but alas, it’s not able to make it up the pass to California let alone drive for long periods.   Someday.

The "N"
On Saturday, Albert, Matt, Nate, and I, hiked to the “N” across from Rancho San Rafael Park on Peavine around dusk.   The trail started out relatively flat and windy.  When we got closer to the mountain leading directly to the “N”, it got significantly steeper.  If you know me, I’m afraid of heights.  My knees start to lock up and my legs start to tingle.  Yes,...

Once Upon a Free Boat
Nate and I decided to take a random exploration trip to Donner Lake in the middle of our grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s and Raley’s.  As we were driving the north part of the lake, he noticed a free boat on the side of the road.  We turned around and had to get a better look.  There it was.  A free boat, indeed.   I’ve always loved boats.  Maybe it’s because my dad was in the Navy and it...
